She previously taught in the Unitec Business School and Northtec Faculty of Business and supported community based organisations in education, sport, health and community development. Diana specialises in staff development and programme and course design for teachers and students using a range of online tools for supporting teachers. In 2003 she was given the Unitec Excellence in Teaching award, and in 2006 the Excellence in Practice Based Learning award. She holds an LLB from the University of Auckland, was admitted to the High Court of New Zealand in 1984 and holds a Master in Business Studies from Massey University and a Graduate Diploma in Higher Education from Unitec New Zealand.
