Co-operative education enriches students' education in countries at
every stage of development, in every corner of the world. The World
Association for Co-operative Education (WACE) is an international organisation
that promotes co-operative education to higher-education institutions,
businesses, and governments all over the globe. In 1999 WACE had more
than 900 individual and organisational members from 39 countries, including
New Zealand. NZACE supports the objectives of WACE and believes that
co-operation and collaboration with the international co-op community
is vital to the development of work-integrated learning in New Zealand.
